Based in Bath and East Sussex, we are a design-focused RIBA Chartered Practice working across Bath, Bristol, Somerset, Kent and East Sussex.We create inspirational homes and buildings that are personal to our clients, rooted in their place, and crafted with care.
Drawing on the unique qualities of every project, we bring together thoughtful contemporary design, heritage and conservation, and a deep respect for the character of each building and its surroundings. Our work ranges from sensitive transformations of historic and listed buildings to new homes and contemporary interventions.

With a wealth of experience in bespoke housing and the creative re-use of significant heritage assets, we specialise in finding thoughtful ways to adapt buildings for contemporary life while respecting the qualities that make them special.
From listed and historic homes in Bath, Bristol and Somerset to heritage projects across East Sussex and Kent, our work responds to the character, history and setting of each place. We combine creative flair with expertise in conservation, contemporary design and low-energy architecture to create extraordinary spaces to live and work.
Our approach is grounded in understanding what is already there - its materials, craftsmanship, history and relationship with its surroundings - before considering what it could become.

Our passion for heritage, craft and materials also shapes the way we approach new architecture. Through our work with historic buildings, we have developed a deep understanding of how buildings gain meaning from their place, landscape, materials and the way they are made. These lessons inform our approach to every new project.
We design new buildings and spaces with purpose and identity, responding to their surroundings and to the people who will use them. We are interested in creating architecture with a richness that comes from thoughtful proportions, carefully chosen materials and well-resolved details, all of which combine to create spaces that have character and bring joy to everyday life.
From the earliest concept through to construction and completion, we combine thoughtful design with extensive construction experience, working closely with clients, makers and craftspeople to resolve the details and material qualities of the finished building.
