Welcome to our workshop

At Studio 4.10 we love making things!

Whether it is working with metal, timber or stone, or stitching fabric, it’s our passion for materials and making that we try to embed in every project we do. We strive to think about these special details and personal touches in every building construction or interior design project we undertake, as we strongly believe these are the little details that can make the difference between ordinary and extraordinary.

With workshop and small scale machining capabilities there is no special project too small, whether it’s ideas for bespoke ironmongery or a new door canopy feature custom designed and made to your requirements.

Often when working with historic structures, conservation work and listed listed buildings, these subtle nods towards thoughtful construction detailing and authentic craftsmanship are encouraged, even necessary, to ensure the building is treated appropriately and their special historic interest and character is preserved into the future. Working closely with the right kind of makers and craftsman is essential to the success of any good building project, and our background and capabilities around joinery, metalworking, welding and building conservation practices, mean we’re ideally placed to lead the conversation and make the right design decisions from an early stage in your project.

Even when we’re not working on projects for our clients, we busy away in the workshop testing out new ideas and honing our abilities to ensure we continue to make special and more interesting pieces with every new project.

So even if you have ideas for a small project or building intervention, we look forward to hearing from you.
